Biography
Dr. Min Kyaw Htet is a medical doctor and earned his master degree in public health and doctorate degree nutrition. He is an Affiliated researcher at RECFON and research fellow at University of Sydney. He is originally from Myanmar and has conducted research projects in Myanmar and Indonesia. He has research interest in sub-clinical inflammation, micronutrient status, and nutrigenetics/nutrigenomics. His previous research experience includes Intervention study on nutrient and gene interaction related with Fe and PUFA in young children, Cohort of pregnant mothers to assess the effectiveness of an integrated program to reduce maternal and child malnutrition in Indonesia, Nationwide Myanmar Micronutrient Food Consumption Survey (MMFCS) conducted in 2017 – 2018.
Research Role
In Action Against Stunting Hub Indonesia, Dr. Htet serves as a theme lead for Physical Component which consists for Nutrition, Gut Health and Epigenetics.
